This has been an outstanding knife in the kitchen and around camp. The Slpeipner steel with an HRC of 62 was impressive in its edge retention, and corrosion resistance. The leather dangler sheath is very high quality, and the weight of the knife is excellent at only 4.5ozs. Kizlyar also offers a lifetime warranty. -- Adventure Camping

Ask me what my favorite Bushcraft product of 2017 is, and there is no question. This simple dangler is so versatile that it makes even the most "eh" sheath great on the belt. -- ThePreppersBunkerOutdoors

I purchased the horn handled folding kukri knife about a year ago. This beautiful heavy monster has been my favorite knife ever since. Still looks brand and I've put it through hell. It's also a show piece with family and friends. Thank you for making such a supreme product. I enjoy this knife every day! -- Dax

I've been using my Caspian knife for over one month now from stuff in the kitchen to outdoor work around the campsite I like the lines of this medium sized knife, for me it's more functional than a standard Bowie styled blade. The natural root walnut handles add a nice touch combined with an equivalent quality stitched leather scabbard, the latter with options of high or low carry on the belt. -- Bush Camping Tools

... I quickly noted two things. First, the sword exhibited the same excellent handling that Atrims are known for and second, Gus has really improved his finishing process. The sword handles well, being light yet authoritative in the hand. I was impressed by how well it handles in the cut, as well as how accurately it tracks behind the point during a thrust. -- Patrick Kelly

The Citadel Chantha is a fine knife, and it served me well at hunt camp. It's unobtrusive enough for EDC (everyday carry), opens like a dream, locks like a champ, cleans up well, looks great, and has a superbly-shaped blade for skinning. The stainless steel blade arrived shaving-sharp, and holds an edge well. The Chantha is a good knife. -- Russ Chastain

During chopping, the Ratanakiri’s performance was excellent. Overall, it was very responsive with good, solid penetration. The more power I exerted the greater the result I got, which is not always the case with some knives. Edge retention was good. I used the Ratanakiri right out of the box and still haven’t touched up the edge. -- Abe Elias

The Survivalist X had a D2 tools steel large drop point blade with a tip swedge, good thumb gimping and an interesting addition on the spine of a wedge that according to Kizylar Supreme can be used for "Hacking objects" I certainly tested this out and found it was great for exactly that, hacking off dead branches in my way before starting to chop through trees etc. -- Bush Camping Tools

Now just touching on Hanwei quality again. The fit in the Habaki, on all Hanwei swords has been second to none. I really respect this, as a lot of manufacturers skimp on this and it really makes the value of the blade, to me, plummet. Nice and straight, no gaps and no rattle or movement. -- Average_joe101

From the deep brown and black of the tsuka reflected in the saya, the leather complimented by the stippling of the saya's lacquer, to the power and dignity of the fittings and the minute attention to detail (the seppa are tapered so as not to ruin the aesthetics of the tsuba), this sword embodies the dignity, power and lethality of Japanese Swordsmanship. -- Paul J.O'Brien

I was astounded at the Irish swords responsiveness. The Irish Bastard Sword weighed in at a mere 2.5 pounds, and handled like a dream. It was balanced enough that you could practically have fenced with it, but felt powerful in the two-handed strokes that I gave with it. I didn't think it was possible for a sword of this size to feel this comfortable in my hands - at the risk of sounding cliche, it felt like an extension of my own body. -- Dan Dacombe, Manitoba, CANADA

On one cut, I drastically undershot the bottles and made full contact with the top of the cutting table. This cutting surface is made of pine 2x6s and the Norman sword sheared the end of the table off at about a 30 degree angle. I immediately checked the edge and blade alignment as this impact imparted quite a severe shock to the blade. The blade was perfectly straight and there was no sign of the impact on the edge. -- Mike Harris, Texas USA
