While emphasizing functionality and durability, qualities more critical to soldiery accustomed to combat rather than parade ornamentation, this Roman Helmet has nevertheless the distinctive good looks characteristic of the headgear of the legionaries. Made to be worn afield, the helmet features non-rust construction, adjustable padded liner, padded cheek guards and leather chin strap. The removable horsehair crest enables the helmet to be used for both foot-soldier and officer personae. A varnished wood table stand is included.
